At Smithton R-VI, middle school band students begin in 5th grade and continue their learning in 6th grade.  The focus is on fundamental technique.  Junior High Band consists of 7th and 8th graders.  In high school, students participate in marching band and concert band.  They also have the option of participating in drum line and color. Smithton band students focus on excellence in action.
